Hi king. Hi queen.
Have you, like Sarah ever thought there is no way I will ever feel a gentle flutter as a baby kicks in my belly. As bones form in my womb. As cells multiply. Specialise. Form a little button nose. Hands and toes. Have you, like Moses ever thought there is no way me. A stammerer. A murderer. An Israelite can stand before Pharaoh. A powerful ruler and challenge him to set the children of God free from the bondage of slavery. Have you, like Jacob ever looked at the love of your life. Lying down. Cold. Lifeless. And thought there aren’t no way they would leave me like this? Not after I worked so long to get them. Not with a new born baby. Not before we see the promise come to life. What about the plans of growing old together Rachel? Have you, like Paul ever survived being stoned. Then have to face imprisonment. Survived prison and then have to face a shipwreck. Survive the deep waters then have a thorn in the flesh. Survive the continuous torment only to be bitten by a venomous snake. Have you ever just sat and thought when does it end? It is always one thing after another.

Have you, like Peter in trying to fit in. Found yourself not walking in your truth. Found yourself not walking in your purpose. Found yourself denying the power of Christ. Or Christ himself. Found yourself regretting after the cock crowed. Not once. But three times. Have you, like Solomon having anything and everything money can buy. And more. The deepest of understanding. The largest of hearts. The knowledge of trees to the vines that grow on the cracks of walls. Having nothing beyond you. Having nothing you cannot handle. The degrees. The women. The connections. The power. The cars. Usidlukotini. Ever looked around and felt empty. Ever looked around and said all is but vanity. Have you, like the disciples ever had to watch the man you trust with your life captured violently by men with swords and clubs. Spit on his face. Struck with fists. Flogged. Stripped. Mocked. Killed. On a cross. Have you ever sat and felt your dreams and hopes slip through your fingers. Back to boats? Back to fishing? Back to point zero? Back to the lowest low from the highest high?
I ask all these questions to say. Sometimes life comes at you fast. Sometimes everything seems to be falling apart. Sometimes the one thing you had going for you just shatters into a million pieces infront of your eyes. Sometimes your body just decides to give up on you. Sometimes your loved ones pass on. Sometimes businesses fail. Sometimes relationships end. However, the word of God says let the weak say, “I am strong!”
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
Joel 3:10
I cannot begin to imagine the amount of faith it takes to be an orphan from Shushan and confess that I am Queen. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of faith it takes to look at dry bones and boldly confess that breathe will enter them and they will come to life. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of faith it takes to walk around the walls of Jericho hoping once you let out a shout of praise they will come tumbling down. I cannot imagine the amount of faith it takes to be threatened and thrown into a furnace of fire and still believe God will save you. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of faith it took to confess that I hear a sound of the abundance of rain when all you saw was a cloud as big as your hand. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of faith it took to gather empty vessels and close her door and begin to pour oil.

I cannot begin to imagine the kind of strength you will get if you’d rise up in faith in your weakness and confess that I am strong. I cannot begin to imagine the kind of opportunities that would come your way if you’d rise up in faith and confess that the Lord has set up an open door before you. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of lives you will change if you’d rise up in faith and confess that you’re the light of the world and a city set on a hill. I cannot begin to imagine the way your life would change if you’d rise up in faith and confess that the lines are falling unto you in good places, you have a good heritage. I cannot begin to imagine where you’d be in a year from now. If you learn to open your mouth and pray. If you learn to open your mouth and declare the promises of God upon your life. If you learn to open your mouth and speak life in abundance upon yourself. Keep it at the back of your mind that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much hunnay. Pray. Always. Uzonqoba. Always.
